AMBROSE RULES
1. The Team selects a captain before starting (usually the lowest marker) and then decides on the order of play, which must be taken on every subsequent shot.
2. Each player must use at least ___ drives, to be marked on the card.
4 & 5 Person Ambrose - 3 drives
3 Person Ambrose - 4 drives
2 Person Ambrose - 6 drives
3. After each player has a shot from the tee, the team then decides which ball to play, the ball is marked and the first player places the ball within one card length of the marker (through the green) and plays their shot, and the rest of the team does the same on all shots (except in any hazards where they must drop the ball within one club length of the marker in the hazard) no nearer the hole. The ball must be played from the same area that the selected ball was in eg rough fairway.
4. On the green, the best position is decided upon and marked. Each player in turn places his ball within one card length of the marker and has a putt. If the ball is within two card lengths of the hole, he may mark the ball and putt out. If it is not, he must mark the ball and let the next player have his putt. This procedure is repeated until a ball is holed, or the score cannot be bettered.
