The 22nd Great Alpine Classic 2025
Monday 17th, Tuesday 18th & Thursday 20th March.
Wangaratta, Bright and Myrtleford Golf Clubs.
- To be played on 3 beautiful courses: Wangaratta, Bright and Myrtleford.
- 2 courses used every day.
- 2025 Field increased to 180 participants.
- Field to be divided into Group A and Group B.
- Each Group rotates through the 3 courses.
- Each Group determined by the organisers, taking into consideration the total number of players, playing partner and cart requests.

Entry Per Player
- Block entry three days $130.00
- NEW FOR 2025- Golf will be split across two of the three course on each of the 3 days.
Entries open Monday 13th January 2025, to www.myrtlefordgolf.com.au via electronic entries with payments required upon entry. Confirmation by return email within 48 hours. Check your junk mail if not received. Entry without payment is not possible. Entries close Thuresday 13th February 2025 if not full before.
Fields for 2025 are limited to 180 Players per day.
2025 Playing Schedule:
- Monday 17th March 2025: Group A at Wangaratta, Group B at Myrtleford.
- Tuesday 18th March 2025: Group A at Bright, Group B at Wangaratta.
- Thursday 20th March 2025: Group A at Myrtleford, Group B at Bright.
- Tee off times:-
Monday: 9.30am for 10.0am Shotgun Start.
Tuesday: 9.00am for a 9.30am Shotgun start
Thursday: Bright, 8.00am for a 8.30am Shotgun start
Myrtleford, 9.00am for a 9.30am Shotgun start
- Presentations to Daily winners, Nearest the pins and Ball winners and Lunch for each group at each course immediately after golf has concluded.
- Presentation of Aggregate winners at Myrtleford @ 2:30pm after the conclusion of golf at Bright and Myrtleford on Thursday March 20th.
- Aggregate trophies awarded to first, second and third in all grades.

ð ENTRIES CLOSE: THURSDAY FEBRUARY 13th, 2025 or earlier if event limit of 180 players is reached.
CONDITIONS OF COMPETITION:
Monday March 17th - Group A will play at Wangaratta. Group B will play at Myrtleford.
Tuesday March: 18th - Group A will play at Bright. Group B will play at Wangaratta.
Thursday March 20th - Group A will play at Myrtleford. Group B will play at Bright.
Ensure you indicate your preferred Playing Partners on your the Entry.
Golf Australia Handicaps will not change for the duration of the 3 day Great Alpine Golf Classic event.
CART USE/BOOKINGS:
Clearly indicate on the Entry Form if you are using your OWN CART or require a HIRE CART and on which days. If you are sharing a cart indicate with whom. This is important information needed when creating the draw.
Cart availability is limited at each club and will be taken in order of entry.
Carts must be booked on your Online Entry form. DO NOT CONTACT THE CLUBS.
REGISTRATION:
Monday: WANGARATTA and MYRTLEFORD: 9.30am for a 10.00am Shotgun Start.
Tuesday: WANGARATTA and BRIGHT: 9.00am for a 9.30am Shotgun Start.
Thursday: BRIGHT: 8.00am for a 8.30am Shotgun Start.
Thursday: MYRTLEFORD: 9.00am for a 9.30am Shotgun Start.
LUNCH:
A salad roll, a piece of fruit, and a bottle of water are included in the Entry Fee.
Bars will be open at all 3 courses.
HEAT POLICY:
Golf Australia and Golf Victoria Heat Policies have been taken into consideration in this implementation.
If at 6pm the night before, the Bureau of Meteorology at Wangaratta forecasts that the Maximum Temperature will be 36 degrees at the Club holding the next day’s event, the event will be cancelled.
CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS:
Full refunds will be given if the event is cancelled.
Partial refunds will be given if a day(s) are cancelled
NO refunds will be given if a player withdraws AFTER Friday March 7th, 2025.
Full Refunds may be given in Exceptional /Personal circumstances if after the withdrawal date of March 7. Application must be made to the Tournament Secretary. (peterternes60@gmail.com)
