LADIES
After a quiet start to the week, rain affected again, Thursday it was action stations. Stableford round, semi final of the Ian O’May Shield, the presentation of a special award and a birthday celebration.
Sandra Piazza was the daily winner 35 pts and a 4/3 win over Jan Roseby.
R’up Judy Bynon 32 pts and a 6/4 win over Marg Curtis. Just the one NTP on the first to Jan Roseby.
Sandra & Judy are now set to play off in the final. Date TBA.
Carolyn Prowse was presented with a very impressive NEDGA Player of the Year Div 3 trophy. That’s our girl!!
After golf there was a yummy afternoon tea, thanks to the Queens of Catering Carolyn & Faye, to celebrate friend Gill Piggott’s 70th. Happy significant birthday Gill.
MENS
Last Saturday, Karl O’Shaughnessy had on his game face with a great stroke score 84/71 to be the winner. Perhaps he was also wearing his lucky colours – Blue and White. Some households were happy with the AFL GF result - Costello’s, Rosebys, ??
Spider had a good round too - 91/73 to be runner up, from Craig Piazza 81/74.
On Wednesday there was no competition as the course was very wet underfoot.
CALENDAR
Tuesday 4th October is Ladies Monthly Medal – stroke 9.30 -10am and Thursday 6th is Stableford.
However, up to 50mm total rain predicted for Wednesday and Thursday so Thursday might be wet conditions.
Tuesday 11th October the 4BBB Rnd 1 is scheduled but we will watch the weather.
Saturday 1st October. The deferred 1st Round of the Ian O’May Singles Board Event will be played tomorrow, The 2nd and 3rd Rounds will be rescheduled with dates to be confirmed due to the predicted wet weather.
The O&M Past Players event scheduled for Wednesday 5th October has been postponed until March, 2022
