100th Celebrations
Tickets are now on sale for our Celebration dinner, May 28th, 6.30pm, Myrtleford Football Club, $50.00 per head. I can not stress enough how important it is for every member to buy 2 tickets and invite other couples. There are over 200 contacts on my email address book, so please support this night.
We have a great guest Speaker in David Schwarz, born in the Ovens Valley, ex AFL player, but more importantly, great advocate for Mental Heath and non gambling. David and Gus Rigoni will be playing golf on our course on the Saturday.
Our Club is on show in our Community, it will not reflect well if we only had 50 guests there.
If you wish to purchase a table of 8, then please purchase 8 tickets and get the money off your friends.
Book tickets through Eventbrite

As our Centennial date is June 22nd,1922, we will be having centennial golf events on:
Thursday 9th June,- Members (Men) vs. Associates(Ladies) -Ebe Schlapp trophy. This event was held in the 60’s and 70’s.
Saturday 11th June, Dress up in your centennial gear and play stableford, be great to have a shotgun start, Men and Ladies.
Last Tuesday Meeting
It was decided that we would recognise Past Club Champions on the night, I can only urge members to contact past members to come along.
We have a guest list of 16 people. Mark Bamford from Golf Australia has accepted our invitation.
We are going to use local media, radio and TV to promote our centennial.
Of course social media we play a huge part.
The ladies are planning decorations for the tables and pavilion.
I am urging male members of the Club to put up their hands to support work to be done in the lead up to the dinner.
Yesterday I spoke to Hugh Price who is a nephew of Marg Sharp (Life Member).
He is so enthused with the centennial celebrations, he is coming with three and also making a donation towards the night. I have been chasing photos of our life members as I am putting together a movie of our 100 years to be shown on the night.
Does anyone you have a contact for the families of Jim Disher, Ian O’May, Charlie Heather?
Publicity of our centennial is so important in promoting our Club. Great half page story in this weeks Myrtleford Times and with this bulletin, is the link to the Fairways magazine, produced by the Border Mail. Thanks to Andrew and Jan Roseby for putting the story together.

Course
Men’s Captain has sent out an email re impediments under trees, I hope you all understand the rule. In his email a great suggestion to have a monster working bee on May 21st, 9.00am, work for a couple of hours then have some lunch. Our course is in mint condition, lets keep it that way.
Heavy rain is forecast tonight and for tomorrow morning. Tomorrow’s event could be changed, watch out for an email or facebook page.
