Beechworth Correctional service

Last Monday, 4 boys from the prison worked on our course and the fifteen fairway looks fantastic along the creek. They also cleaned up around the dam.

Their next project is to lay the pavers at the gateway, followed by building the skillion over the course toilet.

Please put in your diary, working bee on the 22nd May.

100th Celebrations

Tickets are now on sale for our Celebration dinner, May 28th, 6.30pm, Myrtleford Football Club, $50.00 per head. I can not stress enough how important it is for every member to buy 2 tickets and invite other couples. There are over 200 contacts on my email address book, so please support this night.

We have a great guest Speaker in David Schwarz, born in the Ovens Valley, ex AFL player, but more importantly, great advocate for Mental Heath and non gambling. David and Gus Rigoni will be playing golf on our course on the Saturday.

Our Club is on show in our Community, it will not reflect well if we only had 50 guests there.

If you wish to purchase a table of 8, then please purchase 8 tickets and get the money off your friends.

Book tickets through Eventbrite

This week I have received great photos of Charlie Heather, Marg Rowan, Ian O’May, Gilbert Thompson and Nancy Abbott. From a photo from the Myrtleford museum, I have been able to crop Linda Robertson, Mary Heather and Jim Disher.

I am now chasing photos of Club Champions in both ladies and men - do you have one or know of someone who could help?

Wodonga Bowl

Last Friday, 6 ladies played in the Wodonga Bowl. Carolyn Prowse had best score (33) and Marg Curtis won longest drive for A grade. You have to admire the ladies for travelling to tournaments, I believe they have nearly a 100 coming to their Bowl. Yesterday 4 ladies played in the Benalla bowl.
