Last Tuesday, 22 Ladies played following the greens being freshly scarified whilst they were playing. However there were some very good scores regardless.Winner of the 18 hole comp. was Liz Orton with 38 points, runner up Lyn Dwyer with 32 points. Winner of the 9 hole comp. and Special Birthday Girl Robyn Ternes with 19 points, runner up Penny Dawkins with 17 points.
Course
A fantastic working bee last Monday where 5 members helped Gerard in scarifying 7 greens, A Huge SHOUT OUT to Peter Ternes, Jon Harrington, Fox O’Donohue and Peter Stewart helping me in raking out the cutting.
Tuesday working bee, just magnificent, 9 members helped and we were finished in four hours, A HUGE SHOUT OUT to Jon Harrington and Fox O’Donohue, both days, Jim Martin, John Costello, David Clark, Tony Chapman, Pieter Veldman and Evan Jones. We had four members from the Beechworth Correctional service as well. (The fellas eyes sure lit up when they were offered profiteroles for morning tea! – thanks Marnie) Gerard and Tristan finished off a great team of workers.
Next working bee, pruning the large tree on the 10 green and removing branches over growing on fairways.
