Last Saturday was a fantastic field of 33 players who played in the John Wilson Drummond Monthly Medal.

Included in the field was Peter Glidden, (who equally holds our course record), three ladies and three visitors from Albury.

Winner of A grade and Medal winner was Karl O'Shaughnessy who hit a brilliant 37 points, runner up David Rowe with 36 points.

Winner of B grade and a close friend of John Wilson was Rodney Barton with also a brilliant 37 points, runner up Evan Jones 35 points.

11 players played in the Wednesday comp and David Clark after a slow start hit a great 36 points, runner up Peter Stewart on 35 points.

Chris Rigoni Shield

Two very good matches were played last Saturday with both going to the 18th to decide the winner.

Last year’s Champs., Paul Tanner and Jon Mercuri were defeated by the new boys on the block, Jade Galvan and Paul Cowman.

Leaders of the finalists, Brad Carroll and David Clark were defeated by Karl O’Shaughnessy and Geoff Veldman.

On Wednesday, another quarter final was played and Fox and Chappie defeated Sarge and Rowie, 3/2. It’s been noted that Fox and Chappie were chipping well. One last final to go. Trout and Stooge Vs Peter Stewart and Myself, tomorrow.

A great photo by past member the late Ken Graves, taken in 1958, appeared on Myrtleford Historical Facebook page. A very frosty morning, the green and fairway was on the Showgrounds.
